JOBS for AMERICA'S GRADUATES

Go Ahead Make Their Day

This afternoon 28 iJAG students visited Heritage Nursing Home to make their day.... Valentine's Day that is. This day was largely organized by Ashley Barnish who is a CNA and works at Heritage. Ashley trained the students on what to expect from and how to have a conversation with the residents. She also coordinated the event with the staff members at Heritage Nursing Home. Students that had an interest in nursing were able to take a tour and talk to the nurses on staff about what goes on in the nursing home setting and what their responsibilites are. The other students played board games, cards, and visited with the residents. Mr. White got schooled by Betty, Nordyce, and Margie in 500.  Students also made Valentine's Cards for the residents.  As you can see this event definately "MADE EVERYONE'S DAY!"

My mother is currently in a nursing home recovering and I can tell you that visits like these do more than just "make their day"..........it is all very much appreciated.
