In 1999, Iowa-JAG, Inc. (I-JAG) was established as a non-profit corporation supported by the Iowa legislature, corporate and foundation contributions, public sector grants and participating school funds. Today, JAG-Iowa operates 22 programs in 19 schools across the state of Iowa serving students in grades 9 to 12. I-JAG’s mission is to assist students who exhibit multiple barriers to success, in graduating from high school and/or successfully transitioning from high school to continued education and/or careers.  Through innovative partnerships with businesses and industries I-JAG is helping young people find success in high school and in the world beyond.

I-JAG has averaged a 93% graduation rate since 1999.  87% of I-JAG graduates from the class of 2007 experienced a positive outcome (i.e. employed, in the military, or pursuing a postsecondary education) during the 12-month post-graduation follow-up period.
