Elaine Midkiff is the State Coordinator for Jobs for South Carolina's Graduates. JAG-SC holds the distinction of being the first JAG affiliate program to be sponsored by a Department of Commerce. Launched as a 5-year pilot project in 2005, the program utilizes the JAG Multi-Year Model to deliver program services to over 600 youth enrolled in 14 schools across South Carolina with an annual operating budget of one million dollars.

Ms. Midkiff assumed the JAG-SC leadership role in June 2007. She has been affiliated with JAG programs for over 14 years, initially joining the network in 1993 as an entry-level job specialist in Akron, Ohio. Assignment to progressively responsible positions within the Akron program, led to her ultimate selection as the Executive Director of the non-profit Tri-County Jobs for Ohio's Graduates agency. Subsequent to her work in Ohio, she also served as the State Director for Jobs for West Virginia's Graduates, overseeing their operations for four years just prior to her selection as the Jobs for South Carolina's Graduates State Coordinator.

A native of Morgantown, West Virginia, Elaine acquired a broad knowledge base in diverse industries as a military spouse for 20 years. Her experience includes work in the health care industry, industrial operations, federal and municipal civil service, sales and non-profit management. She possesses Masters of Public Administration and Bachelor of Business degrees from Kent State University, majoring in public/private Human Resources Management.

Ms. Midkiff resides in Columbia, South Carolina with her husband.
