| Dwight Fettig currently serves
as Director, Government Relations for Freddie Mac. Fettig joined
Freddie Mac in February of 2003, after nearly 15 years on Capitol
Hill. At Freddie Mac, Fettig has been part of the company’s government relations’ team
and has worked closely with senior management during a high profile
period for the company.
Before joining Freddie Mac, Fettig worked
for United States Senator Tim Johnson (D-SD) for more than 14
years. He served as Johnson’s Legislative Director since 1995, when Senator
Johnson was then Congressman Johnson. Fettig joined Congressman
Johnson’s legislative staff in 1988 after an internship
with then Congressman Byron Dorgan (D-ND). After advancing to
different legislative positions in Johnson’s office in
the early 1990’s, Fettig was promoted to Legislative Director
in January 1995. He served in that capacity for Congressman Johnson
until Johnson was elected to the Senate in November 1996. Fettig
continued on the staff of Senator Johnson, serving as his first
Legislative Director in the Senate where he served through the
Senator’s re-election in November 2002.
Fettig is a Bismarck, ND native who is married and has 3 children.
